Efficient Room Separation with PVC Strip Curtains

PVC strip curtains – also known as forklift curtains or industrial strip doors – offer a simple and effective way to separate workspaces in production facilities and warehouses. They help reduce heat loss, dust, and noise, while still allowing easy passage for both people and vehicles. Our strip curtains are available in standard sizes or custom dimensions tailored to your specific needs. We also offer cut-outs and mounting solutions for door frames.

PVC strip curtains are ideal for high-traffic areas where temperature control and energy efficiency are crucial. The flexible strips close quickly behind vehicles and personnel, minimizing drafts and helping to maintain the desired indoor climate.

Advantages of Our Strip Curtains

✅ Reduce heat loss and energy consumption ✅ Dampen noise and protect against dust ✅ Allow easy access for people and machines ✅ Available in full rolls or by the metre ✅ Offered in 3 standard thicknesses and widths (see comparison below) ✅ Optional cut-outs and mounting included ✅ Food-grade approved

Comparison Table: Strip Widths and Thicknesses

Strip Size Recommended Use Overlap (%) Benefits
200 mm x 2 mm Light traffic – pedestrians and trolleys 30–50% Highly flexible and easy to walk through; ideal for internal areas
300 mm x 3 mm Forklift traffic – medium duty use 30–50% Greater insulation and durability; suitable for warehouses and workshops
400 mm x 4 mm Heavy traffic – large doors and exterior access 50–80% Maximum insulation; minimizes heat loss and reduces noise

💡 Tip: Choose thicker strips and higher overlap for areas with intense traffic or significant temperature differences.

Installation Guide for Strip Curtains

1. Measuring the Opening

  • Measure the width and height of the doorway where the strip curtain will be installed.
  • Order the required number of mounting rails to match the width. Rails are sold by the metre and can easily be cut to size.

2. Installing the Mounting Rail

  • Hold the top rail against the door frame or wall above the opening.
  • Use a spirit level to ensure it is aligned properly.
  • Mark the screw holes with a pencil.
  • Drill holes and fix the rail with screws and wall plugs.

3. Attaching the Strips

  • If the strips are not pre-cut, cut them to the desired length using a strong utility knife or heavy-duty scissors.
  • Attach each strip to the rail by hooking them into place and securing with rivets and a rivet gun.
  • Ensure the correct overlap (typically 30–50%) for optimal insulation.

4. Adjust and Test

  • Walk through the curtain to test if the strips hang correctly and fall back naturally into place.
  • Adjust the overlap or length if needed.
  • Bonus info: New strip curtains may initially stick together – this will wear off over time.

If you would like your strip curtain delivered pre-mounted on rails (including rivets), simply select the installation add-on during checkout. When this option is selected, your curtain will be delivered fully assembled.
