Patches for Conveyor Belt Repair

Patches are a fast and efficient solution when your conveyor belt needs a temporary repair. Our repair patches help keep operations running and prevent costly downtime until a permanent repair can be made. They’re easy to install and compatible with most types of conveyor belts.

Whether you work in industry, agriculture, recycling, or construction, having patches on hand is essential for quick belt maintenance and emergency fixes.

Benefits of using patches for conveyor belts:

  • Quick and simple temporary repair
  • Prevents extended downtime
  • Fits various conveyor belt types

How to Apply a Patch to Your Conveyor Belt

  1. Prepare the area
Switch off and secure the conveyor belt before starting. Clean the damaged area thoroughly to remove dirt, oil, and dust. Use a cleaner if necessary to ensure good adhesion.
  2. Trim damaged edges
Remove any loose threads or uneven edges around the damage using a knife or cutting tool. This ensures a tight, lasting patch.
  3. Apply adhesive (if required)
If the patch requires glue, apply an even layer to both the patch and the damaged area. Allow the adhesive to become tacky before application.
  4. Place the patch
Position the patch directly over the damaged area. Press it down firmly and smooth out any air bubbles using a roller or flat tool.
  5. Allow to cure
Follow the adhesive’s instructions for curing time before restarting the belt. If using a self-adhesive patch, the belt can often be restarted immediately.
  6. Check and restart
Make sure the patch is properly seated and securely fixed. Restart the conveyor slowly and monitor the repair under operation.
