At ABC Industrigummi, we have just completed a task for a Danish contractor, where we replaced both the belt and edge rubber on an asphalt paver. A task where we have exactly the materials and the technical knowledge and experience needed to undertake a task like this.
Pavers operate in extremely harsh environments. Heat, oil and wear take a toll on both belts and edge rubber, and many machines therefore operate with components that degrade quickly. The customer needed a durable and heat-resistant solution – and quickly.
We installed a new Continental fully oil-resistant rubber belt with a belt width of 800 mm. The belt is specially developed to withstand high temperatures and aggressive materials such as asphalt. This ensures longer service life and fewer downtimes.
At the same time, we changed the edge rubber to a 10 mm thick and 150 mm wide oil-resistant quality, which is also developed to withstand heat and the harsh impact of asphalt. To ensure solid and precise installation, the edge rubber was attached with galvanized flat iron and bolts – and the holes were drilled and punched out with a chisel on a drill.
We are one of the few on the Danish market that has both this type of tape and edge rubber in stock – ready for quick delivery and installation. This means minimal waiting time and maximum uptime for our customers.
